Production Assistant

General Job Description:

Weigel Productions is a collaborative production environment that seeks thoughtful, professional and hardworking individuals to join its creative team. Production Assistant will work closely with producers and crew to assist in the creation of multiple productions across the busy media group including non-fiction field-based format series and narrative studio-based production. The ideal candidate must be intellectually curious, strong communicator, highly organized as well as a team player who is very detail oriented, strong multi-tasker.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Organizing props, costumes, makeup and all of production elements with the larger team.
  • Communicating across departments to assist with deadlines of props, scripts, media are being met
  • Editorial research and fact checking.
  • Assisting with Final Delivery of Weigel Productions programming, including captioning preparation.
  • Work with producers to find and organize video and music within Weigel Systems and Third-Party sources.
  • Make still image video suggestions for scripts and assist producers and editors.
  • Work with producer to coordinate logistics for studio and field productions.
  • Work with rights and clearances and producer to ensure the best and latest video is acquired, used and credited properly.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must have previous professional television experience.
  • Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of multiple elements of production will be preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office is a must.
  • iNews, GV Stratus and Adobe C-Suite experience a plus
