2D Rigging Artist

JAM are currently seeking immediate applications from 2D Rigging artists to join our fantastic team for the animated television series based on the bestselling children’s book series Isadora Moon. So if you are passionate about animation, we’d love to hear from you.

Job Description:

Produce production ready rigged characters for the 2D animated series and animation teams. The rigs will be used inside the working rigged hierarchy in ToonBoom Harmony and the rigger will adjust models to the hierarchy to fit character animation requirements. These rigs will be based on existing models and the rigging artist will report to and work directly with the Rigging Supervisor.

Required Skills / Experience:

• Produce production ready rigged characters in ToonBoom Harmony and ensure characters or props are set up for movement as production requires
• Work closely with the design, rigging and animation teams to maintain consistency of character rigs and overcome all technical challenges
• Communicate problems and issues early on and provide solutions where required
• Test rigs for optimum use in animation
• Ensure the rigs are organised correctly and follow established conventions correctly for animation
• Past experience in rigging for a ToomBoom Harmony animated TV Series preferred
• Strong drawing skills required

Key Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony, 2D Rigging principles and pipeline
• Good understanding of anatomy, mechanics and movement
• Team player with a positive attitude with the ability to take direction
• Attention to detail, problem solving ability and taking direction in order to work in a collaborative environment
• Working with textures and highlights is an asset
• Working with master controllers is an asset
• Position open to UK and Irish residents
• Roles available for both in house and remote working
