Bright Little Labs is building a kids’ media giant for the 21st century. We make interactive stories to promote critical thinking, computer science, toilet humour and equality for all kids aged 5+. Our flagship story is about Detective Dot, a British-Indian tech whizz on a dangerous mission from the Children’s Intelligence Agency (shhhh).

Bright Little Labs have a 3-book publishing deal, have received strategic investment from Cartoon Network/Turner/Warner, have just launched in Kidzania and are now creating animated content and games across multiple platforms. We’re also developing new IP with a STEM storytelling focus, for kids aged 3-5.

THIS IS IMPORTANT: We value merit, initiative and values over qualifications or industry experience and we love diverse voices. If you’re not sure you are the ‘right’ candidate or have no formal experience, please apply anyway and help us to create something amazing.

About the role
We’re developing new IP – Zaffi Zoo – with a STEM storytelling focus, for kids aged 3-5. It involves robot animals, coding and computer science, and A LOT of music inspired by afrobeat/highlife genres. Zaffi Zoo is set in a magical land and the show is 50% music.

We need an Animation Producer to lead the development of the series and deliver the content. There isn’t a massive production budget – we want good quality mini stories to launch on YouTube. We want a forward-thinking Producer, who ensures our company delivers pioneering imaginative storytelling and is excited about a transmedia approach to IP.

You will:

Grow the IP from the ground up – pitch, budget, schedule, manage, add magic
Manage content production, exercising top, top creative and business judgment and working with a largely in house team
Create processes to ensure the delivery of quality content
Build a network of amazing creatives, with a focus on diversity
Find people to conceptualise, produce and deliver a high volume of work
Act as a spokesperson for the company and the mission, building strong partnerships with distributors, toymakers, etc.
Lead the launch of the brand in 2020!
