Avenues is a creative-led post production company working across commercial, fashion, music, documentary and drama. We specialise in editing, colour grading and motion graphics, and provide full 360 post solutions. We’re an ambitious, fast-moving team, juggling multiple projects at a time, working with high-end brands, agencies, production companies and post houses across the globe.


This is a fantastic opportunity for an assistant editor looking to become part of a dynamic team, working on varied, exciting projects. The ideal candidate will be organised, diligent and creative. A natural problem solver who will take the initiative when necessary. A deep knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and all aspects of post workflow is a must. Good working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Resolve and Avid would be a real plus.

You will be working alongside our junior and senior in house editors, as well as supporting colourists and motion teams where necessary. As well as assisting, we’d like to get you involved in editing your own projects and you will be encouraged to bring any projects you can into the company. We want to help you develop as an editor in your own right, with a view to making the step up to Junior Editor as soon as you can! Key duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Setting up projects and workspaces to the editors specs
  • Importing and transcoding footage
  • Syncing audio and video rushes
  • Versioning, Cutdowns, subtitles, applying graphics
  • Project archiving to near-line and LTO storage
  • Transcoding films for various end uses
  • QC’ing play-outs at all stages
  • Creating EDLs AAFs and ref QuickTime files for colour / VFX etc
  • Source sound effects / music / stock footage
  • Create temporary VFX / motion
  • File delivery

Desirable experience and skills:

  • 2+ years experience as an assistant working within a post house, agency or production company
  • Clear and confident communicator with the ability to multi task and a strong attention to detail
  • Deep knowledge of Adobe Premiere, various codecs and post workflows
  • Good knowledge of After Effects, Avid, Resolve, FCPX, media encoder
