ITV Cymru Wales – Assistant Producer
9 month fixed term position
ITV Cymru Wales has an exciting opportunity for an assistant producer to work on the second series of ITV’s Code Blue:Murder. You will be an enthusiastic self-starter with strong self shooting and storytelling skills. You will be confident working alone in sometimes challenging conditions with the ability to make dynamic decisions in fast moving situations.
You will be working as part of a small team and will be expected to display sensitivity in sometimes challenging situations. You will be expected to uphold ITV’s Code of Conduct and be aware of potential compliance issues.
You will work closely with the series producer and executive and respond positively to feedback. Your base will be Cardiff but you will be shooting on locations across south and west Wales with sometimes unpredictable hours.

Role Criteria –
Wide experience of all aspects of long-form programme-making, especially current affairs programming
Outstanding proven track record in journalistic originality and creativity
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
Understanding of and commitment to the importance of Diversity in programmes content
An enthusiastic team member who pro-actively improves on existing ideas/materials
In-depth knowledge of legal & OFCOM compliance requirements, particularly in relation to current affairs
Good knowledge of ITV Health & Safety and Risk Assessment policies and commitment to implementing them
Ability to respond under pressure rapidly, effectively and accurately to a changing situation
