Overview:

This position is for candidates interested in both graphic and motion design. The Nickelodeon Designer is responsible for carrying out the company’s design vision, in close collaboration with the Art Director and Design Director.
The Designer will develop a wide range of projects from initial pitch decks to full launch and campaign designs. The ideal candidate is tapped into contemporary trends, also keeps an eye on the future and is invested in developing new mediums, styles, and techniques. As a creative problem solver, they will help develop stories through design across a broad spectrum of graphics initiatives, such as branding & identity, show packages, and promos.

Responsibilities:

  • Builds engaging and complex motion graphic design for a diverse array of projects
  • Keeps up to date with advancements in motion graphics animation as well as new technologies and techniques on the pulse of contemporary trends in motion design.
  • Leads time optimally and gives accurate assessments of the workload and the time required to complete tasks.
  • Carries out art & design that translates the attitude and values of our brand, improves our properties and grows business.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in applicable field or minimum of 3+ year’s experience with design and/or advertising agencies.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experienced knowledge of Adobe Suite.
  • Knowledge of C4D preferred but not required.
  • Experience designing for entertainment marketing; including streaming, TV and theatrical
  • Strong graphic design principles and aesthetic judgment in typography, color theory, layout, and composition.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of styles and techniques.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills at all levels, both on a technical and creative basis.
  • Strong time management & organization skills: balances challenging priorities and multiple projects while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Effectively communicate with the Art Director(s) and other members of the team to ensure that they understand employees’ ideas.
  • Ability to articulate creative vision and evaluate quality of creative products.
  • Ability to work within and encourage a team and also under your own initiative.
  • Keen curiosity about youth pop culture and how it relates to the Nickelodeon brand!
