Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden (WBSL) is a purpose built, state-of-the-art film and television studio offering one of the largest facilities in the UK. This 200-acre secure site has a half a million square feet of stage space, a back-lot tank, one of the largest heated underwater filming tanks in Europe and a 100 acre back-lot. It also owns Set-Lighting and Rigging – a rentals division, WB De Lane Lea – a post-production facility and Leavesden Park – a contemporary office complex. It is the only Hollywood owned studio of its calibre to be operated in the UK.
We are now seeking a Director to lead our Set-lighting and Rigging department, the successful post holder will ensure WB Set Lighting and Rigging are market leading and remain a first choice for Producers both on lot and off lot.

Primary Purpose of the Job
The Director will develop, maintain and nurture new and existing contacts throughout the industry in order to promote and enhance the Company’s reputation, revenue and profits. Ensure all decisions and actions are in acordance with Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden policies and procedures and are approved by the SVP Studio Operations.
To drive and procure business on behalf of the Company, developing new rental opportunities
To keep abreast of industry developments and assess opportunities for new areas for expansion; providing detailed business plans, investment justification and growth potential.
Provide accurate budgeting, forecasting and reporting to senior management in US and UK in conjunction with the finance team.
To support Management in monitoring, maintaining and improving all aspects of the business.
To recruit, manage and develop the Set Lighting & Rigging Team.
Ensure understanding and compliance with all documented/verbal, Company and departmental procedures, work instructions or defined processes.
Provide technical and industry based support and advice.
Develop and implement sales and marketing plans
Financial monitoring and reporting. Prepare and monitor department budget; establish and maintain efficient and accurate billing system
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience of working in the Film and Television Industry
Experience of working as a supplier / vendor to the film and Tv industry. Kit rental is preferable but not essential
Quotation and business bid experience
Held Senior Management level position within associated industry Commercial business acumen
Understand the management of budgets and P & L
Experience of managing multiple stakeholders across different business functions

Senior stakeholder management including within a complex matrixed organisation
Ability to take full P&L ownership with full responsibility for variances to current forecast
IT literate with ability to quickly learn and implement new systems and processes
Ability to operate calmly and consistently in a rapidly changing environment
Familiarity with Capital processes, policies and procedures
Working knowledge of health and safety and transport legislation and best practice
