Your New Role

The Edit Assistant will join the Amazing World of Gumball production team on a fixed-term-contract from 24th April 2023 – 24th June 2024 and your main area of responsibility will be animatics. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn from experienced animation editors and the role will be working 5 days per week from the studios in Farringdon.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Assembling animatics in edit while also assisting the editors from assembly through to lock with final VO, working closely with the production team.
  • Work closely with third party studios to ensure a smooth cross-studio edit pipeline is followed.
  • Help to ensure naming and filing conventions are followed into and out of edit and that files are neatly imported into timelines to ensure the smooth running of the department.
  • Be responsible for maintaining a walla library, ensuring it is used effectively by the edit team.
  • You may be required to work on other edit tasks such as shot numbering, shot breakouts, finecuts, online prep etc
  • You will need to manage your time well to hit deadlines.
  • Keep the team alerted to any issues that may cause delivery delays and communicate clearly and efficiently with all other departments inside and outside the studio.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Comfortable working with senior editors, directors and the production team.
  • Highly organised, willing to learn and good at managing tasks
  • Keen eye for detail and have a passion for animation and editing.
  • Experience working with Premier preferable
