Description:

Surfing Giant Europe is looking for an experienced Character Designer to join our talented team and design the cast of a high-profile Disney Junior Series, “Hey A.J”, which will be appearing on the Disney Jr. Channel and Disney+.

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience of working on high profile animated series in a similar role for a minimum of 2 years.
• Have an excellent drawing ability, a firm knowledge of anatomical design and an understating of how designs translate to the rigging process.
• Proficiently generate and approve model sheets and turnarounds for approval and core production.
• Be able to collaborate and take direction from the Executive Producers and Directors.
• A pro-active problem solver, collaborating with the wider production team to ensure designs are in line with the demands and complexities of the production schedule and pipeline.
• Be willing to take on constructive feedback.
• Be a strong, passionate, and proficient leader.
• Have excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and good organisation skills.
• Proficient software understating in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
• Familiarity with Toon Harmony software.
