Our Company

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Online Editor to join our group of post-production facilities, as we expand and open a new facility in Manchester. Having recently been awarded one of Broadcast’s ‘Best Places to Work 2022’, we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and good sense of humour to join our dynamic team and work alongside some of the best Production Companies and Broadcasters in the industry on an array of programmes; from feature docs to entertainment series.

The successful candidate will need to be technically proficient and highly skilled in online editing and grading on Avid Symphony, and will have experience working in a post-production facility, delivering long form projects to major broadcasters and VSOD platforms.

The Role:

The applicant will need to have proven skills in the following areas:

• Building relationships and working closely with clients: The right candidate will deliver client satisfaction by being creative, with a keen attention to detail and proficient at meeting briefs.
• Working closely with all members of the Final Post team and Post Producers to ensure excellent communication and efficient delivery of final masters.
• An ability to work to tight deadlines whilst working with a cool head.

Skills

• At least 6+ years’ experience as an Online Editor in Broadcast TV, with credits in both Factual and Light Entertainment programs.
• Ensuring master deliverables are completed to Broadcaster Technical Specifications and on time.
• Excellent time keeping skills to ensure projects are completed within the budgeted time and to deadlines.
• Strong technical ability in broadcast media, attention to detail and staying abreast of the major broadcaster technical specifications.
• A first class technical knowledge of Avid Media Composer, Symphony with an impressive creative and grading abilities.
• A good understanding of Adobe Photo Shop
• Working closely with and providing training to junior members of the online team.
• Not essential, but experience using DaVinci Resolve and/or Premier would be an advantage
