Job Description

This is a part-time project / limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 6 – 12 months, unless otherwise amended or terminated as deliverables within this project are completed.

As a Production Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting production personnel in all phases of sports production with a focus on Motorsports.

Responsibilities

  • Support Motorsports Production team in Live, Edited and Digital content creation
  • Assist in daily organization of motorsport media and cataloging of motorsport library, including learn the NBC Sports digital archive system
  • Communicate clearly with Motorsports Production leadership and fellow Production Assistant teammates
  • Search and secure video footage requests to be used in highlight packages and features
  • Handle some aspects of editing of sports production including, but not limited to, highlight packages, bumpers and teases, Avid experience is a plus
  • Assist Motorsports Manager in delivering content across NBCU Platforms
  • Perform required sports research, keep current on Motorsports storylines
  • Generate and distribute ideas for all Motorsports and platforms
  • Participation in production meetings
  • Support all phases of production for assigned shows, including weekend race coverage
  • Future growth opportunities include Remote and Studio Graphics PA, Motorsports Media Day
  • PA and Remote Field work

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1-2 years minimum of professional production experience

  • Must be a team player
  • Have exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge and interest in sports television production

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be willing to work in Stamford, CT
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be 18 years or older

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
