We have an exciting opportunity available to come and join the Media team to provide integral administrative and organisational support the Production team prior to, during and after the production of a programme. Working in this role your key area of focus will be the time keeping of programming and ensuring all live and pre-recorded programming runs to exact lengths.

The Media department creates award winning content for all LFC`s owned and operated platforms. From TV to YouTube, Social to Websites, Apps to events, the media team plan, produce and deliver compelling written, graphical and video content, live and on demand, to a global audience, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

What will you be doing?

Ensuring all live programming starts and finishes exactly on time and pre-recorded shows are completed within the scheduled record time and logged for the edit. This involves managing the timings of all individual elements including VT`s, SVO`s, Music performances and on-location hits with recalculating timings during live programming to account for any run over or changes.

Before transmission – Responsible for formatting and timing scripts, taking edit notes, and collating all information about the timing of each item within the programme. Creating running orders and distributing to the gallery team and Presenters.

During transmission -Accurately time all programmes, standing by and counting in and out of VTs, counting Presenters through each item advising how long they have left to complete the chat/interview. Both gallery and studio crew are all led and rely on the information and it is integral for the smooth running of the programme.

Ensuring adherence to OFCOM regulations for live programming and guaranteeing all commercial airtime is managed in line with the OFCOM broadcast code. Building the OFCOM log to monitor broadcasting hours, made in house, sports events and advert minutes to complete the annual OFCOM returns forms. This is an annual mandatory requirement from the broadcast regulator.

Collating music logs and liaise with Performing Rights Society (PRS), identifying which tracks have been used. Chasing down music logs and then collating the information on the system. This is a contractual requirement from the licensor and needs to be met.

Floor management including managing and mic guests up, if required, during a pre-recorded or live show and providing necessary information to the Director and Producer.

Providing scheduling cover for building the Electronic Programming Guide (EPG) listings and distribution to Sky and Virgin. This includes uploading and checking all schedules in the playout system and amending where necessary.

Sending break patterns to the external traffic media company as well as importing sales information, uploading, and approving new advertisements ensuring all the club`s commercial exclusivities are adhered to. Policing permitted advertising minutes provided by OFCOM regulations and generating as-run reports of channel output.

Who Are We Looking For?

To work in this role, it is essential you have TV gallery experience working in a role where you have kept time for live media productions. You have a keen interest in the Media industry which can be demonstrated through your outstanding knowledge.

You pride yourself on your exceptional timekeeping skills and can work precisely and accurately with minutes and seconds to carry out mental arithmetic quickly in your head. You are an effective communicator and can clearly relay timings to others.

To make this role a success you will need strong planning skills alongside an analytical mind. This is an exciting and fast-paced environment so we`re looking for somebody who thrives under pressure and can resolve issues in the moment.

It is also important that you have solid knowledge of both OFCOM broadcast regulations and Health and Safety at work.
