Production Assistant

Contract Summary

IMG is looking for an enthusiastic Production Assistant to join our busy production team. The role sits in our expanding Cross Channel and Branded Content department, specifically on Golfing World and Golf Branded Content.

This is an opportunity to play a crucial role in our exciting production management team. We’re looking for a super organised and unflappable person with excellent client liaison skills and a real eye for detail. Supporting the Production Manager and Production Coordinator, you’ll have a central role in organising international shoots and travel, coordinating post-production bookings, and keeping on top of cost trackers and expenses.

This is a varied role that will allow you to learn and grow as you assist the team. You may need to work across multiple programmes and events simultaneously, so the ability to multitask and keep a cool head under pressure is a must. Whatever the job, you’ll bring a positive attitude, a respectful demeanour, and tonnes of enthusiasm to every task.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Provide general administrative support to the production
• Complete post-production paperwork – including music cue sheets, archive lists, scripts
• Raise purchase orders and process invoices
• Point of contact for both internal and external clients
• You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job, as directed by the Production Manager

Key Results Areas

• Excellent production assistance to production team and PM
• Ensure all necessary pre and post-production paperwork is in place
• Compliance with company procedures as per IMG ‘Black Book’
• Take on more responsibility according to experience
• Unusual Challenges or Circumstances e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel etc
• Point of contact for crew on shoots outside of office hours, as applicable

Person Specification

Knowledge and Experience
Desirable

• Previous experience as a Production Assistant
• Experience of tracking costs and processing invoices
• European geography knowledge

Skills and Abilities
Mandatory

• Highly organised
• Microsoft Word, Excel
• Good command of the English language and excellent grammar skills

Desirable

• Previous experience in production administration
• Knowledge of SAP

Qualifications and Training
Mandatory

• Educated to A Level standard or equivalent

Desirable

• Health and safety production training

• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good at managing / prioritising workload
• Excellent time management – reliable and punctual
• Effective team working – showing initiative where appropriate

Working Conditions

• This is a fixed term position.
• Working hours are an average of 40 hours per week.
• Occasional travel and weekend work may be required.
• Free onsite parking at the Stockley Park office.

Cross Channel and Branded Content is a creative, multi-skilled team of production experts, creating content for the modern media world. We produce a wide range of video and audio formats including short & long form, digital, social, live and audio/podcasts. We are an extension of the IMG Media production unit, providing content services to the wider Endeavor network and direct to client.
