The Production Junior will work across all areas of Sky Sports News, Studios and Post-Production with the successful candidate being given full training and development within the role. You will be an enthusiastic, keen, driven & motivated individual, with a strong desire to work in Television production. You will need to able to learn and adapt quickly, with a calm outlook when working under pressure. This will be an initial FTC/Freelance position with progression prospects beyond that.

What you’ll do:

  • Support studio, gallery, edit, outside broadcast & digital productions. Assisting with a range of operational tasks as required.
  • Greet & chaperone visitors, guests & talent
  • Work with Sky Sports News Planning desk with details for shoots and liaise with digital and linear production teams around key stories.
  • Work with the social and video team to set up live streams across Sky Sports social channels
  • Support Post-Production with a varied range of operation and client facing tasks.
  • Support the effective and efficient scheduling of crew for Sky Production Services
  • Work with the Operations team carrying out a range of administrative tasks
  • Spend dedicated time in a diverse range of operational and logistical areas, across Production,
  • Studios and Post-Production to develop & build your knowledge on the various roles and functions required to create and broadcast the best Sports content available on UK platforms


What you’ll bring:

  • The candidate should have a passion for Sport / TV Production
  • The candidate must be flexible and be able to work at times best fitting to the Sky Sports calendar, including early, late, night and weekend work as well as some travel.
  • Any experience in Television, Broadcasting, Sport or Production is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong English language and written skills are required
  • A good knowledge of basic IT programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and Social Media platforms are essential.

Sky Sports Production Services & Operations is centric to the wide variety of content production carried out at Sky. Responsible for Studios, Galleries, Post-Production and Sky Sports News Planning live event production, crewing and operations, there really is no better place to experience such a breadth of roles.
