This role entails…

An opportunity to be a driving force in our newsroom inspiring and shaping the brilliant news content we create for television and digital audiences in Wales.

This is a ‘hands on’ creative role, producing our flagship news programme Wales at Six and leading our news commissioning as part of our Executive Team.

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

This role allows you to combine your excellent editorial and management skills to ensure the national news of Wales on ITV is the best it can be. You will also deputise for the Head of News & Programmes. To be considered for an interview your letter of application and CV will need to show your experience and effectiveness both as a news producer and as a manager. Together with your excellent judgement and decision making, you should also be able to demonstrate your excellent knowledge of Welsh and UK current affairs as well as a thorough working knowledge of media law, the Ofcom Broadcasting Code and health and safety requirements.
