The Daytime market is highly competitive and vitally important for both ITV Studios and our network. Most of these programmes run 52 weeks a year and are critical to our share of viewing. Daytime hands the ratings baton over to peak.

It’s an exciting time to be part of our team with all of our big brand programmes having been refreshed with a modern on screen look as well as high editorial aspiration. We bring our viewers the latest breaking news, biggest entertainment stories and exclusives and we have a lot of fun along the way!

The Part-Time Senior VT Editor will be responsible for creatively and accurately editing promos and VT content for all of the live daytime programmes, providing operational and creative support to the programme staff. You will also provide a degree of quality control in technical and creative standards.

As part of our Post Production team of editors you will ensure that all edits are carried out to the highest creative and technical standards. You will provide support to the programme staff on Avid Newscutter desktop editing systems and liaise with senior programme staff to ensure expectations are achievable. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of editing within a news and magazine show. Experience of using AVID Media Composer and Sapphire & Boris Continuum Complete (BCC) FX plugins is also key. You will be highly creative with first class technical editing skills.

This unique part-time role has a fixed roster – two 12 hour day shifts per week and the opportunity for some remote shifts, working from home.

This is a fantastic chance to work across all four of our award winning, live, daytime programmes. You will be part of a forward thinking, fast paced creative team with some of the best in the business.

Successful candidates will be invited for an interview and trial shift.
