Series Producer

We are looking for an experienced leader to join us and help run the team.

This job will suit someone who is intrigued by a Citroen SM, excited by a 205GTi, and can instantly see the beauty in a low mileage Hillman Avenger in lilac with a vinyl roof.

Steering the editorial at the production ‘s front end is a major part of this role. You ‘ll need a genuine passion for and decent knowledge of classic vehicles.

Series Producer, Bangers & Cash

As an experienced SP, it ‘s a given that you will know how to work up and translate good editorial into great TV, and you can collaborate effectively with busy contributors alongside leading a talented and well-established production team.

Part of your working week will be spent on location with the cars and contributors at our Thornton le Dale production base. North Yorkshire is a lovely part of the world in which to work and film – and we have accommodation available if required.

We are also open to flexible working – and how we structure the job really depends on the other core skills you have ancillary to that vehicle passion.

If you are a natural edit producer and can write a neat script that would be a real asset, but if you are a capable PD who loves being on location – we could clearly work things around that.

Series 7 of Bangers & Cash for UKTV/Yesterday is transmitting at the moment, with production of series 8 & 9 well advanced. We also have another 12 episodes of the spin-off restoration show Bangers & Cash: Restoring Classics in production.
