VFX Coordinator

Salary or Budget: $24 - $25 per hour

Reporting to the Senior Director, Production Operations, the production coordinator will work with producers and artists to ensure shots are being tracked and delivered according to established targets and milestones. This position requires effective project management skills, clear communication, a high level organization and a proactive and positive attitude.

MAIN DUTIES:

The VFX production coordinator will support the project leadership team with show management, ensure ShotGrid statuses, delivery dates and task assignments are kept up to date, and help producers in scheduling, prioritizing and tracking internal task assignments and project details. They will understand each artist’s task list and priorities, monitor progress, and oversee project dailies, rounds and meetings. They will ensure that team members are clear on daily deliverables, maintain project calendar, record all notes from clients, dailies, and rounds, and relay accurate and timely notes to the team to ensure completion of actions. Additional duties include:

  • Document decisions and requests, ensure items are tracked and managed appropriately.
  • Coordinate and package shot deliveries including submission documentation. Checking delivery packages to ensure the content is correct.
  • Follow up on client reviews and outsource task statuses; ensure delivery on time and to specification.
  • Collaborate with VFX Producer and Supervision, and the Client team and Editorial to manage internal Client sends to ensure successful delivery throughout the show
  • Back up the producer in terms of client management and communications
  • Create progress reports to producers, supervisors and clients
  • Communicate with external vendors for outsourcing purposes
  • Coordinate and monitor multiple projects effectively.

WHAT YOU BRING:

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional attention to detail and some experience with television or major motion pictures. They must have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and an excellent work ethic and positive attitude. Additional desired skills include:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
