VFX/Motion Graphics Artist

We are looking for a motivated VFX/Motion Graphics Artist to work on a set of new projects we are developing for a series of film “documentaries” and feature films.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with a passion for film and some experience in VFX. You will be working on 3D, hyper-realistic environments, composition and montage, and integration into real scenarios, effects, modelling, texture surfaces, lighting and embedding effects into a scenes.

It is a paid working experience above the national minimum wage, and you will not be shadowing but working and getting real-life experience on several upcoming productions. You will also be working alongside the executive producer of Junco films, whose experience includes doing documentaries that have reached millions of views, screened at film festivals, cinemas and on TV channels like Sky TV, ITV, HBO, Hulu, Al Jazeera and Vice.

Given the nature of the content, this role requires someone able to work under pressure and in stressful conditions maintaining a calm mindset. And a person with the highest level of ethics, confidentiality, privacy and discretion.


  • Develop new VFX ideas for our films
  • Come up with original, thought-provoking VFX work
  • Adaptation, Creation and modelling of characters and scenarios
  • Creating visually dazzling and photo-real visual effects
  • Create and follow 3D elements from concept through to final composition.
  • Animate elements
  • Work alongside the director on VFX requirements on set. Including Virtual Production.
  • Coming up with concepts, themes and ideas
  • Import and Integrade in UE4
  • Research trends
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies
  • Execute delegated tasks by the Producer/Director and support actively
  • Daily updates and status reports
  • Undertake general administrative duties
  • Be an ambassador for the company at all times


  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with transparency and honesty in all stages
  • Act decisively and sensitively under pressure and tight deadlines, and adapt quickly and diligently to last-minute changes
  • Able to contribute to good working relationships and be an excellent communicator
  • Troubleshoot any production difficulties or problems that come within your area of responsibility
  • Work with high levels of privacy and discretion.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of 3D modelling, rendering, 3D character animation, texturing, lighting, shading, effects and rigging (Maya (or similar), Houdini, Mari, 3DEqualizer and ZBrush)
  • General knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD and Nuke/After Effects
  • Advanced tracking and rendering
  • Familiarity with VFX pipeline and post production
  • General compositing principles, strong aesthetic sensibility, good use of colour
  • An understanding of animation rigging/set-up
