We’re Looking For A: The Videographer/Editor will be responsible for crafting captivating, often disruptive marketing videos that weave storytelling magic to sell health and wellness products, principally through online social platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their strong visual aesthetics and an ability to create compelling video content, intricate motion graphics, and engaging animations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual and self-starter who can work collaboratively, communicate effectively, juggle multiple projects at once while able to meet deadlines. A passion for pet food, wellness, beauty and health a plus.
Location: Hybrid (Office in Woodland Hills, CA)
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Edit raw footage into polished videos, ensuring a seamless narrative flow, high-quality visuals, and professional sound, from in-house and stock assets, as well as original content.
- Work closely with Story Producers and other team members to understand project requirements and ensure that the final product meets the desired objectives.
- Utilize industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other relevant tools to produce high-quality video content.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in video editing, thumbstoppers, and storytelling to continuously bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Review and fine-tune videos, ensuring they meet technical and creative standards, and are error-free before final delivery.
- Efficiently manage multiple projects, meeting deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Review backend data, consider and execute thoughtful optimizations, bring creative ideas to life through either archival footage or new material.
- Coach and mentor junior editors, helping them adapt to GH and Storytelling trends and workflows, improving the quality of their onboarding and creatives.
Qualifications (Note: We strongly encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick ALL of these boxes.):
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
- Ability to collaborate and bring their own ideas to the creative process
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Creative out-of-the-box editor that can use visuals to bring written copy to life
- Attention to detail and strong composition and aesthetic qualities
- 2 years minimum of experience shooting and editing in a production environment.
- 5+ years experience shooting and editing in a production environment (preferred)
- Must be proficient in Adobe Editing Suite – most important are Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects
- Professional experience working with commercial cameras and equipment
- Must know color grading, multi-cam editing and basic audio mixing
