Jay Composta

Based in London for the last 7 years, Jay Kevin Composta successfully graduated from University of the Arts London, completing a Film & TV Bachelor degree alongside a Master program in Film, becomming a very proficient and experienced video editor working on multiple local productions. Editing content of various genre such as: music videos, short-drama movies, trailers, documentaries, corporate videos, commercials.

Jay’s visual works and style are mainly influenced by European filmmakers such as Andrei Tarkovsky, Ingmar Bergman, Krzysztof Kieślowski, that’s why in his projects he takes in great consideration sound design, music composition and the relationship between the aural elements and the visual components which constitutes a scene.

In April 2018 he directed his first short-movie “Song for Madeleine”. A joint collaboration between London College of Communication, Comevada Pictures, Erased Tapes record label and famous Icelandic composer Olafur Arnalds.
